The Helmet Retention Panel (HRP) was designed to add an additional layer of retention for battery packs attached to the back of helmets with a field of loop to attach IFF or patches. Windowed pass through cells for mini chem lights create on demand “cat eyes” much like the old helmet bands except: The color of the "cat eyes" is only limited by what colors are available from the chemlight manufacturers, are changeable, and the end user decides when they glow. One inch elastic loops on the top and bottom hold standard sized chemlights for night ranges or identifiers while on target per unit SOP. In addition to adding an extra layer of retention for a battery pack the HRP can be used for retention of a helmet mounted strobe by attaching the strobe to the loop field and using the included shock cord to secure over the strobe through the end pass throughs or the 1" elastic loops on the top and bottom and tightening with the included cord lock. By adding hooks to the ends of a of the shock cord it acts as a dummy cord anchor for NODs. Both alternate uses can be done independently or simultaneously. The HRP is an extremely versatile piece of equipment that we have only scratched the surface of how it can be utilized by end users.
